O.P.T.Y-02

O.P.T.Y-02 is the second garment of the O.P.T.Y. collection.
For its continuation of the geometric theme, the shirt was designed and attached with shapes such as triangles, rectangles, and more with leather. Combining iridescent and dyed latex fabric, it gives off a futuristic look. A laser-cut bag and belt were styled together with the look.

Combining traditional methods and exploring new ways to make a garment by dealing with vibrant colors and geometric shapes. The main materials used are leather, iridescent fabric and dyed latex.

Geometric shapes and primary colors were more traditional elements that were widely used, not only in fashion but also in design. I wish to take traditional materials and combine them with futuristic elements by finding new ways to create a garment. During my process, I incorporated laser cutting. My thesis experiments with discovering ways of being able to construct a garment with the main elements of geometric shapes, products, and fabrications.

Because the garments are futuristic, the photoshoot concept was retro futurism. Photoshoots were taken in Chinatown and arcade to give off the combination of futuristic vintage.
