Slice of Happiness

When I was younger, I would play video games to escape the stresses of school. It would only take me one round of Super Mario Bros. for me to forget the tension from which I was escaping and step into the world of the moustached brothers and Princess Peach. In this piece, I reminisce upon the happiness that I felt playing this game by portraying the iconic elements of Super Mario Bros. By stepping into these shoes, I can not only walk back into the memories of the games that not only gave me happiness, but also helped me gain footing through my school life, which oftentimes wet and slippery.
