Yesterday is History

June 2019

Description

Size: 10” x 16”

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift, which is why we call it the Present.” - Eleanor Roosevelt

In this drawing, a woman lies trapped in the past. She is in the process of becoming a root, unable to move forward. Her future, which lies in the background, is always dark and barren because she cannot experience it. Her past, in the foreground, is full of fading flowers, as the woman lingers on her beautiful past but cannot go back to it. She is stuck between two worlds.
