Changing What's New

Manifesto poster inspired by "Changing What's Normal" by Ian Berry.

Time is something that changes all the time, and we have no control over it.

The manifesto explores the nature of change as an inevitable and transformative force. It challenges conventional thinking by emphasizing that we are all unique individuals and that meaningful change starts within us.

Initial Ideation

Initial concepts and design in Illustrator. Deciding on fonts and the concept of the poster. Out of the 3 alterations decided to work with adding in the clock concept.

Initial Concept

The design is structured around the shape of a clock, reinforcing the idea that time is always moving forward, just like change.

The manifesto text itself is embedded within a circular form, emphasizing the continuous and cyclical nature of change. The placement of letters mimics the elements of a clock, illustrating that change is always in motion and cannot be confined to rigid boundaries.

Final Outcome

For the final, I have added the numbers 1-12 in the background to symbolize the passage of time, while the freely arranged letters and numbers break conventional structure, reflecting the manifesto’s core message—challenging norms and embracing transformation.

This poster is not just a visual representation but an embodiment of the manifesto’s philosophy: Change is normal, yet it changes what’s normal. It encourages the viewer to step beyond traditional perspectives and embrace the fluidity of both time and transformation.
